News update from our Club Captain...

Hi to all the members , Captain Pete here , I have enjoyed my first month as Club Captain and am looking forward to a great summer's golf . With the weather making a big improvement and James and the rest of the green staff getting the course better by the day , it all goes well for this weekend's medal and the forthcoming competitions in the next few weeks . The Mike Odd Cup is on Sunday 15th and the Lombard Trophy on the 21st and the lists are on the notice board , so if you are able to play in either or both , please put your names up . Unfortunately , we lost our match at Oaklands Park but we have a chance of regaining the Chairmans Cup when we play against them at Park Wood at the end of August . In the last month , Billy Campbell has taken over as Team Captain and has got off to a winning start last Sunday beating Lullingstone in the Yeomans Cup and we eagerly wait to see who we get in the next round . Our next match is against Hever in the North Kent Foursomes on Saturday , 14th May , away , so let's all get behind Bill and give him our availability and support . I will be getting together with the new pro Sam to arrange Captain and Pro matches during the year , so keep an eye on the notice board and if you fancy a go at taking us down , please get your names up . Please remember the bunker by the green on the 4th is my Captains Charity Hazard and if you go in there , please can you put £1 in the bottle on the bar . Please also look out for the special £10 buy out which makes you immune from paying over the year . I wish to extend a big welcome to all the new members who have recently joined or those who have rejoined and I hope I get the chance of meeting all of you soon . It's only 6 weeks to my Captains Day on Saturday , 18th June , so if you are able to support me and my charity , Diabetes UK , please look out for the list which will go up in the next couple of weeks .
