Park Wood is located in Westerham. Less than 10 minutes away from the beautiful town of Oxted, Westerham and Biggin Hill. We are also only 20 minutes away from Croydon. If you are driving from outside London, the Club is located a short drive from Junction 6 on the M25.
Yes. We have ample parking at the Club and it is Free. Please however note that parking overnight is not permitted and parking is only available to patrons of the Club.
Yes. We have a lovely bar and restaurant overlooking the 18th green and the beautiful Kent country side. The facility opens out onto a large patio overlooking our pond and serves as our popular beer garden. It is open to the public. We serve breakfast and lunch as well as the best Club Sandwich in town!
Yes. Visitors are allowed on the golf course. However only golfers are permitted on the course and golf attire must be worn. For everybody's safety, non golfers, walkers, caddies, unaccompanied junior golfers as well as own use ride on vehicles are not permitted on the course.
There is no hotel at Park Wood Golf Club however ORIDA have two fantastic hotels approximately 30minutes away. ORIDA Maidstone ME14 5AA and the Holiday Inn Maidstone Sevenoaks TN15 7RS.
After use, bunker rakes should be placed outside the bunker.
To be kept well away from teeing and greenside areas. Buggies are not allowed in the car park.
Please replace your divots, repair your pitch marks and if you visit any bunker, use a rake.
150 & 100 yard markers are to the centre of the green.
Play at a good pace. Ready Golf is actively encouraged.
Greens staff and the public (on bridle paths) have priority on the course. The ball must not be played when they are in range. Greens staff will give way when practical and safe. Please wait until they are out of range, or you are called through.
If you hit a wayward shot, shout “FORE”. If in doubt, please shout.
Beyond any white marker stakes, fences, footpaths or hedges bounding the course.
3rd Hole. On or beyond the road that runs parallel to the hole.
When playing the 8th hole, that part of the 13th hole defined by white stakes is out of bounds. When playing the 13th hole, these stakes are immovable obstructions.
On or over the pathway behind the 9th / 18th green. In the direction of the 1st hole, this lasts for the duration of the path. In the direction of the Golf Academy, the out of bounds applies until you reach a white stake.
Beyond the white stakes to the left of the 9th hole that continue to the path behind the 9th / 18th green.
When playing the 18th hole, a ball finishing on or beyond the 9th fairway is out of bounds, if it is not beyond the line between the two blue stakes.
The driving range as defined by the white marker stakes.
Over the fence bounding the reservoir between the 8th, 14th and 15th holes.
Young trees, identified by stakes or artificial supports, are No Play Zones. If a player’s ball lies anywhere on the course, except in a penalty area and it lies on or touches such a tree or the tree or its supports interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing, the player must take relief, without penalty, under 16.1f.
All sprinkler heads and control covers are immovable obstructions and relief from interference may be obtained under rule 16.1b. In addition, if a ball lies off the putting green, but not in a penalty area and such an obstruction is on or within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball and intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief under Rule 16.1b.
Penalty Areas are marked by either red or yellow stakes and/or lines. If a player’s ball lies in a penalty area, they should proceed under Rule 17.1.
All buildings, roads, bridle paths, steps and artificial paths are immovable obstructions. Rule 16.1 applies. In the general area, wood chips shall be treated as moveable obstructions. Rule 15.2 applies.
If a player’s ball lies in or touches an area defined as G.U.R. or if the area interferes with the player’s stance or the area of their intended swing, then the player MUST take relief from interference without penalty. If any bunker contains a G.U.R. sign, then the entire bunker is ground under repair.
